Food experience In Tampopo

Tampopo is an eastern restaurant where you can pick a dish or dishes from any part of the eastern map.
These were the sauces you got with the dishes all very spicy.

The map that colour coded  countries and named dishes down the side.

The restaurant inside had a great feel to low lighting, and long eastern looking tables with red pillows to sit on, you could also see the chief cooking your food on the left.
All eastern waiters and spicy above on shelves, all quirky little packaging.

I had Singapore noodles, delicacy from Malaysia.

Manchester Food Market

I was very surprised with this market as I had never visited this food market, there are some cute and quirky little stalls. I really loved the Cake shop, the cakes were very intricately made and the colours were beautiful. Also the Chinese fruit and veg stall intrigued me, there was a few exotic fruits and smells that reminded me of my travels to Malaysia and the different shapes and colours were very interesting . Below are a few images I took, I would like to revisit so capture some more detailed pictures of the items i was interested in.

Hennie Howarth- Illustrator

Claes Oldenburg- Sculpturer

This sculptor Claes Oldenburg takes everyday ordinary objects and create large scale items and places them in public places to create interesting and exciting Art.

Wayne Thiebaud- Illustrator

I found this illustrator of food and find him very inspiring, his work is very sketch like and the colours are very pastelle like.

Giuseppe Arcimboldo- Painter

Giuseppe Arcimboldo (also spelled Arcimboldi) (1527 – July 11, 1593) was an Italian painter best known for creating imaginative portrait heads made entirely of such objects as fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish, and books – that is, he painted representations of these objects on the canvas arranged in such a way that the whole collection of objects formed a recognizable likeness of the  portrait subject

Akiko Ida and Pierre Javelle- Photographers

Another find that I really  like, really creative and different way to create landscape and an interesting way to include food.
